Hi, I'm Taylor!
I am a board-certified occupational therapist with experience working with the pediatric and adolescent populations. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 2018 and master's degree in Occupational Therapy at North Central College in 2021.
I have experience with the pediatric population in various settings including schools and outpatient clinics, and have experience working with kiddos to support interoception and body awareness skills, supporting self-regulation in young children, feeding, eating, and mealtime challenges, and executive functioning identification, evaluation, and treatment for pediatric clients.
I love all aspects of pediatric occupational therapy but emphasize a child-led and strengths-based approach with a focus on forming meaningful relationships with kiddos, families, and support team to foster a safe learning environment and to provide relationship-centered care. I believe the most successful therapy occurs when it is grounded on the mutually beneficial partnership among the individuals receiving care, their families, and the provider, as each party holds an equally valuable role in developing goals for each client.
While not at work, I enjoys going for long walks along Lake Shore Drive and the Chicago parks, trying new restaurants and cafes in the city, cooking, and volunteering at PAWS animal shelter.
